Glossary: B
Bullnose Edge
Bullnose is another word for rounded edge. If you select a bullnose edge, expect the cutting board to arrive with a rounded edge. The other option is a standard edge which is similar to a saw cut but we deburr the edge which means we smooth out and clean up the rough edges of the cutting board.

HDPE
High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) cutting boards are engineered for durability, low maintenance, and safety. The textured and matte surface safely holds food in place without slipping. The "natural" bright white color is favored for its sanitary look.
Knives stay sharp when cutting on HDPE material since it is a softer plastic material that takes much longer to dull the blade. Because of its unique molecular structure, cuts seal and become indiscernible. With the savings from replacement knives and the durability of our HDPE cutting boards, long-term savings add up quickly.

A juice groove is an indented border to close to the edges of a cutting board that’s purpose is to catch juices and bits of food on our cutting board. The juice groove is great for keeping messes on the board and nowhere else. This keeps germs more contained and away from your countertops.

Handmade from many layers of high-quality custom craft paper, Richlite’s surface texture comes from the natural variation in the way fibers lay within the paper. Composed of approximately 65% FSC®-certified or recycled paper content and 35% phenolic resin, Richlite’s color comes from a combination of the paper and the amber tone of the resin.
